NOTE: All the Beach Camps in Rishikesh were banned by NGT's (National Green Tribunal) few years ago due to waste disposal in River Ganga. But below are the few and only options which are operational (Under NGT norms) near Beach / River Ganga.

Beach camping – one of the recreational activities usually is conducted near the banks of the river Ganga. Possessing location as one of its benefits, the visitors staying in beach camps gain an easy and direct access to River Ganga for experiencing white water river rafting.

The beach camps include water sports, body surfing, beach volleyball, kayaking, sand bath, river rafting and other adventure sports namely, bungee jumping, flying fox, etc… in package itself. Beach camps comprise of safari tents that are equipped with folding beds along with neat bed sheets and quilts.

Moreover with miniscule water facility, visitors need to utilize dry pit loos which then needs to be dumped on their own. It is very essential to ensure sanitation and hygiene as much as possible. During the day, people need to carry their activities with the help of sunlight. However at night the occupants have an only access to kerosene/battery lamps for illumination. The duration of such a camp may run from 1 night & 2 days to 2 nights & 3 days or more. Accordingly the cost of the trip may increase or decrease. Shivpuri, Brahmpuri, Marine Drive, Byasi, Kaudiyala and Singthali are key locations for beach camping.
