NOTE: All the Beach Camps in Rishikesh were banned by NGT's (National Green Tribunal) few years ago due to waste disposal in River Ganga. But below are the few and only options which are operational (Under NGT norms) near Beach / River Ganga.

Marine Drive located about 26 kilometers from Rishikesh is one of the tranquil and peaceful camping sites of North India. It is less crowded nevertheless does offer places like Neergarh waterfall (on the way from Rishikesh to Marine Drive) and Vashisht Cave to the travelers. Ram Jhula with the various temples located around it, is about 27 kilometers away from Marine Drive.
